A local radio station was trying to break the world record for the number of hugs in an hour while also raising money for the Children's Hospital. So, it was at least a dollar a hug. By the time we left, I think they had over a thousand people and they only needed 850, so hopefully they made it. But that also means over a thousand dollars for the hospital that's been a part of our lives for a while now. Robbie and I went down there to participate and it was really fun.

It's been a record breaking 90-100 degree weather here in Denver for the past couple of weeks and today, it hailed. Gotta love Denver weather! I'm just glad nothing at my house got saturated while I was at work-it was down-pouring for quite some time!

Once again, we're talking about what I'm doing for work, but this time, it's full time. I've been registered on sittercity.com for some time now as a nanny in need of a job, but finally had someone like the fact that I had another boy tagging along with me! He is 2 1/2 years old and he and Robbie get along great!

I've always wondered if I was doing everything I could to save money on baby items. Afterall, I make my own wipes and now, laundry detergent. Lately, I've been trying to find other options where I could cut corners. Well, this past week at Baby Cheapskate, they've been talking about cloth diapers. I've been thinking about it because Robbie is ready to potty train, but he's not quite uncomfortable in his diapers yet. So, what do you think?

I love this clip! I get a daily dose of funny from this site, but this is hilarious rendition of Rocket Man by William Shatner-a clip they had on just a week ago!

I have been making my own baby-wipes since Robbie was just a few weeks old thanks to a recipe from friend of ours. Well, I've gotten to love home-made-stuff since then and have since found this site which gives you all the ingredients you need to make your own laundry detergent, along with the recipes for either liquid or dry detergent.

I ran across a funny blog post this morning and wanted to pass it along. It's basically a short list of things this particular parent has said to her kids. I have found myself saying much worse, but can't remember now what they were-I'm going to have to start writing this stuff down because it's priceless! What have you said to your kids?

Kristin and I went to a cooking class last night and it was awesome! We both hope to do it again soon and maybe make it a regular thing!

I told Robbie that we needed to change his diaper and he ran back to his bedroom. I got distracted with something and went back to check on him 5 minutes later and he was on his changing pad trying to change his own diaper! He's holding his nose because it's stinky! How cute is that?
